Since a bar tender is employed to work at places such as taverns or at celebrations, there is almost always something fun going on while at work. I have been in the restaurant and bar business for a long time, and have seen my share of mistakes.
If you are the type of person that can handle being on your feet all night, dealing with sometimes very rude, even drunk, people and running in circles for hours making drink after drink, while still carrying on a conversation with all of the customers so that you are not rude to them, then it is the job for you. It will not all be fun and games, every good thing has a few bad things to go along with it at times. Simply put, there is no aspect more vital to a professional bartending career than the foundation built by a quality bartending school.
A good memory is essential as a bartender. As a bartender, you should always be thinking what you can do especially for your guest. Below the bar of each station, there should be available cooled soft drinks like Schweppes, Russian Water, tonic water and the usual Coca Cola, Sprite and others.
And remember, there are lots of schools out there, so look around. Make it your priority in your interview to make the interview feel more like a conversation.
