Bartending can get hectic when people are crushed up against the bar trying to place their orders and the wait stations are filled with waiters and waitresses trying to place their orders. The question I am asked the most, by a landslide, is how do I become a bartender?
When the economy suffers people spend more time in bars. Bartenders need to know their area well, and how to perform their mixing duties when business heats up. Regardless of which way you look at it, bartending is a rewarding job.
The next step is to know your menu and learn how to mix the drinks by heart. A good bartender is a real find, and you should never rush in your decision to hire one, or to find the right one if the people you are interviewing don t seem up to par. While glassware won't affect the taste of your mixed drinks, your guests will always perceive your drinks as being acceptable when served in appropriate glassware.
As a career, bartending can provide you with a lot of money. Investing in a quality education will put you on the fast track to maximized earnings in bartending.
